Seattle, WA -- (Sports Network) - Seattle Mariners catcher Jeff Clement will have surgery on his left knee on Tuesday, the club announced late Saturday.

Mariners medical director Dr. Edward Khalfayan will perform the arthroscopic procedure to repair a lateral meniscus tear and a medial meniscus tear in the backstop's left knee. Rehabilitation time for such a procedure is typically three to four weeks.

The 25-year-old Clement hit .227 with 10 doubles, one triple, five homers and 23 RBI in 66 games for Seattle this season.
